We are pleased to announce the revised date for the 'Together in Christ' District-wide event is Saturday 14 November.

The SA-NT District are excited to offer all congregational members the opportunity to gather, grow and go together in Christ. This event is a day for everyone to be inspired about mission opportunities, come and learn, come and hear from people who are doing mission in their community or context. It is not just a day of listening, it is a day of doing, a day of gathering and giving thanks, a day of being encouraged to go out into your community to share the Gospel, a day of committing to God to share his word.

'Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.' (Ephesians 4:15-16)

There will be various electives for participants to choose, with engaging speakers, interactive workshops and a resources expo to discover what is happening in the LCA and what is available for all members and congregations.

This is a unique opportunity to gather as a district, to pray and discern God’s call for us as church, and be encouraged with fresh vision for God’s people. Be inspired through interactive, creative, and informative electives. We have a fantastic line-up of elective leaders from around the state.

  • Discover your unique gifts to ignite your passion for ministry
  • Learn about missional discipleship
  • Find ways to engage others in your community
  • Be inspired by creative worship ideas
  • Get practical with congregation tools to develop worship services, access grants, or support in governance and compliance.

There will be electives covering these three themes:

  • Gather – gathering together in worship, God’s divine service to us. How we can be better equipped in gathering together as the body of Christ.
  • Grow – discipling and building up members of the body of Christ. Developing our understanding of discipleship and how God is shaping us.
  • Go – going out to communities, discerning the needs of others. Practical equipping to be Christ in the world through missional engagement with others.
