We are always learning to trust God. There is always something new to test and challenge our faith in him every day. This year we are learning to trust God, individually and together as church, in ways we never anticipated. The truth is we are not “all in this together” in the same way during 2020.

Volunteering is simply a way of life for Carmel Wuttke. Her love for people is evident in the numerous volunteer activities she undertakes within the local Waikerie community, where she is a very well-known and much-loved figure.
Buoying spirits and helping residents to feel comforted and connected are tasks that chaplains at our District’s Lutheran aged care and retirement living facilities undertake every day, but their role recently became even more crucial given the lockdown measures in place due to the global pandemic.
During this time of not being able to meet in person, it is important we continue to steward our buildings well. We encourage congregations to safely undertake a walk-around of their properties weekly to ensure they are kept in good condition.
