God gives many gifts to the Church for the mission of the Gospel, and one of those is the gift of administration or leadership (Romans 12:8).
The South Australia – Northern Territory District Office greatly values those of you who work ‘behind the scenes’ – office staff, volunteers, committee members and those supporting the people directly involved in the mission and ministry of our district. Your work is very important and certainly appreciated.
The SA–NT District Office staff are here to serve and support you all. Most importantly we are here to assist you with questions ranging from:
- Professional Standards
- congregation policies
- work, health and safety
- Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC)
- calling a pastor
- and much more!
Please phone or email our friendly staff, who will endeavour to assist you or redirect your enquiry to the relevant Lutheran Church of Australia or district department.

Volunteer information pack
We understand from congregations that many find it hard to recruit volunteers for various roles. Sometimes this may be because people don’t really understand the role they could volunteer for, or may not know what opportunities exist within our congregations.
The District Office has compiled this ‘Sample Volunteer Role Information Pack’ which contains sample role descriptions for some of the volunteer opportunities that we know our congregations currently have. Please remember that this is a SAMPLE only and can be customised by congregations to suit their individual needs prior to making it available to members. This could be a great way to encourage your members to consider volunteering for a new or additional role within the church community and to allow them to have a better understanding of what the role could involve.
If you have questions regarding this document please direct them to the District Office on 08 8267 5211 or email@example.com
